Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5: Why It’s S3 For Me

There is a lot of excitement about the Galaxy Note 2 and upcoming next generation iPhone 5, but at the moment the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the most advanced handset on the market. The device has enjoyed record sales and it is still popular and one of the devices that could sway people to buy it rather than hang on and wait for the rumored iPhone 5 or Galaxy Note 2.

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5: Why I jumped on S3 already

One of the reasons is due the fact that there is still another month before Apple is “set” to make the announcement of the iPhone 5. It could then be another few weeks to a month before users will be able to get their hands on the device. With the Samsung Galaxy S3 being out now and having such superb specs, such as the 4.8 inch screen, there is no reason not to go out and get it now.  The iPhone 5 is rumored to have a larger screen than any other iPhone at around 4 inches but that doesn’t compare to the 4.8-inch on the S3.

The S3 has the option of wireless charging which is not something that the iPhone 5 is thought to have when it is released. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a removable battery too, something that Apple has swayed from ever since the first iPhone. Another thing lacking on Apple handsets is SD card support, which the Samsung S3 has.

The Galaxy S3 comes with HDMI output which is excellent for those who want to attach their phone to a large screen TV. Apple omits this feature and there is nothing to suggest this will be any different when they release the iPhone 5. The Samsung Galaxy S3 also has a 27% higher resolution screen than what has been rumoured for the iPhone 5.

Jelly Bean will be available for the S3 on 29th August according to rumours and Android 4.1 brings about numerous additions to Android, including Google Now and an update to S Voice. The voice on S Voice is said to be more pleasing than the one that comes with Siri on the iOS.

So despite iPhone 5 rumors garnering up a lot of hype, the Samsung Galaxy S3 continues to sell well and the above reasons are likely why.
