Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC One X: Why HTC Still Has It

By  |

While the Samsung Galaxy S3 happens to be one of the must have handsets of 2012 on the Android platform, the HTC One X is still a good seller. So could it be that the HTC One X is better than the S3? Well it just depends on how you look at it.

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC One X

The HTC One X will always be remembered as being the handset from HTC that was the first to have a quad core processor and internationally the Samsung Galaxy S3 has done this for Samsung. Both of the devices when they were launched came with the latest operating systems, Android 4.0. The HTC One X does have an advantage over the Samsung Galaxy S3 and this is the 1.5GHz processor vs 1.4GHz on S3, or does it. Well if you look at in on paper then yes it does. However benchmark tests tell a different story, but how many consumers frequent benchmarking sites?

Benchmark tests revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has more power despite it having a lower clocked processor of 1.4GHz. This is due to the fact that the chip has newer architecture. However for all those who go with the bigger is better theory, then the HTC One X would come out on top.

Both handsets have 8 megapixel cameras which include autofocus and LED flash and they can take video in 1080p HD. HTC showed off their camera and highlighted it when they said that it was better than the camera of the iPhone 4S (exact words from HTC’s CEO). Samsung however forgot to push their S3 camera, which led many to think it is almost identical to the camera on the older Samsung Galaxy S2.

The HTC One X is able to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S3 in many different ways and it has been easier to get a hold of too when it first came out. The HTC One X is also designed better and it looks more like a premium handset than the glossy plastic S3.

Nevertheless, you can’t go wrong with either one of these Android superphones.
