One of the latest handsets to come onto the market is the HTC Droid DNA. You can get the device with Verizon over two years for $200, but does it rule over the current Android champ, the Samsung Galaxy S3?

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC DROID DNA

The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been a best-selling handset since its release in the summer and it is still a popular device. The HTC Droid DNA on the other hand is innovative and HTC deserve a pat on the back for the build quality and the display.

On the outside the Samsung Galaxy S3 looks great, however the HTC Droid DNA looks a lot better. The handset has a look that is modern and it has a unibody that is soft touch that exhumes high quality.

The display of the HTC Droid DNA is also much better than that of the Samsung Galaxy S3, thanks to its 1080 x 1920 resolution and 440ppi. This means that the viewing angles are superb and colours are excellent. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has the Super AMOLED display and this is often said to have colours that are hyper real. The display of the HTC Droid DNA provides hues that are realistic and the display is easy to read in direct sunlight thanks to higher brightness levels than on the S3.

The performance of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is amazing and it should be as it is a flagship device. However the HTC Droid DNA is the new kid on the block and you can tell by its new hardware. The Galaxy S3, in the US, has the Snapdragon dual core, while the HTC Droid DNA takes it up a notch with the latest Snapdragon quad core processor.

In regards to benchmark tests the Samsung Galaxy S3 was beaten by the Droid DNA in almost every one. This is mainly down to the fact that it has two more cores and it comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Both of the handsets are superb and they each give the user a great experience, however if you are on Verizon, we would suggest opting for the HTC Droid DNA. This is thanks to the design, which is superb, the more powerful hardware and the better display. Plus the handset comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean preloaded.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
