Syncing mail is great but it drains down the life of the battery very fast. If you want to get the most from your battery you should sync off and check for mail yourself. You can have it check for mail every 10 minutes or as long as an hour. The longer time you set this for the more power you will save on your battery.

You should never let the battery on your device drain down all the way. Keep charging the handset whenever you can.

Live wall papers look great on the handset but they do drain down the battery fast. Put static wallpaper on the handset and preferably a dark one to a light one as the device has a display that is Super AMOLED.

Alter the brightness of the display to save battery. You may also want to put the device onto automatic brightness and use the power saving feature on the handset.

If you don’t have to use GPS or Hotspot then you might want to turn these off. It will help you to save on battery.

You can delete any apps that you don’t plan on using and keep your apps up to date.

Get rid of your current email account and then add it back and this will help you to get the most out of your battery life as it resets the settings.

You could back up your device and then factory reset it. You will then be able to restore the data onto your handset from the back up that you made.
