Samsung Galaxy S3 Price Falls As New King Arrives

By  |

Samsung’s Galaxy S3 was THE handset of 2012, but now its successor – the Galaxy S4 – is upon us, its reign is almost over. Of course the Galaxy S3 is still brilliant, but its cost has dropped to make way for the new king. The biggest savings are to be had in regions where carriers don’t offer big subsidies, like India and Malaysia.

So, you can bag the must-have smartphone of 2012 for a song now, which is great…but….there’s a new kid on the block any week now, which will prove too much of a temptation for many.

When the Galaxy S3 came out in India, it sold for Rs 43,000. It was on sale for Rs 31,000 last week, and is now Rs 29,480. If you go to Klipmart, it’s Rs 29,200.

Over in Malaysia, it cost RM 2,300 upon launch, now it’s a mere RM 1,500.

The price drop will pull in some punters despite the new model winging its way to the shelves. The Galaxy S4 will cost a pretty penny, too, as its launch price will most likely be around $589 in the US.
