Samsung Galaxy S3 Price Revised As S4 Takes Over

By  |

While the Samsung Galaxy S3 was the best-seller of 2012, its successor is upon us already, which means that the Galaxy S3 is way cheaper all of a sudden. Some of the steepest drops have occurred in the regions of the world where there are no carrier subsidies, like Malaysia and India. The Galaxy S4 is out by the end of April, so these reductions are good business sense.

The Galaxy S3 stormed into the smartphone market, and even a year on it’s still a must-have device. The price drops represent an absolute bargain, but you have to decide if you want this deal, or if you’d rather have the Galaxy S4.

The Galaxy S3 launched in India at Rs 43,000. This dropped to Rs 31,900 a few months later and now it’s at Rs 29,480. At Klipmart it’s even cheaper, at Rs 29,200.

Over in Malaysia it started out at RM 2,300 and now costs around RM 1,500.

A lot of people won’t be able to resist this deal, even though the Galaxy S4 is only a matter of weeks away. If, however, you want the later version off-contract, you’ll have to pay out quite a bit, as the launch price of the Galaxy S4 is set to be around US$589.

The Galaxy S4 has a 4.99-inch display that’s full HD, as well as an Exynos 5 Octa chip and 13MP camera. In the US, the Galaxy S4 is quad-core.
