Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Hits Oct 11 With iPhone 5 Like Dimensions (Rumor)

There is no getting away from the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a very popular choice among handsets. So with this in mind it may not come as any surprise that Samsung may be about to reveal the Galaxy S3 Mini.

Samsung Galaxy S3 MINI joins S3 in fight against iPhone 5

SlashGear reports that they have heard rumors of such a handset for some time now and today have seen some photos. Samsung is said to be sending out their invitations for the launch for an event on 11th October. The company has also been teasing them with “something tiny”

UnwiredView said that the text on the invitations say something along the lines as “Something small will be something big” and “Get ready for a little sensation.”

Of course Samsung could be talking about anything really, however one thing is for sure is that you can see the “S,” which the company always use for the Galaxy S device branding. This means that it should be an S device being released at the event.

One thing that does go towards thinking that size will be of importance at the event is seen in the text. This is why many have said that they will launch the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. Whether this is true remains to be seen and for the moment we have to take the rumours about the Mini S3 with a pinch of salt.

It would be sensible for them to release a mini version of their popular handset, as while the Samsung Galaxy S3 is popular, it does have a large screen which is too much for some. This issue can be remedied by Samsung offering a smaller version of the popular handset. The question is will anyone want a smaller version of a phone that’s already on the market, or would people like to see some changes, other than the size?

It is interesting to note that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is rumored to measure in at 4-inches, which just so happens to be the same size as the iPhone 5. Apple fans of course don’t consider the iPhone 5 dimensions as mini given that it is the largest iPhone released to date!
