Samsung Galaxy S3 Not Fastest Phone Out There For Long

Samsung have revealed the latest in their line of processors, the Exynos 5, and it will make Galaxy S3 owners go green with envy.

Samsung Galaxy S3 won’t be fastest smartphone for much longer

Lovers of fast technology cannot fail to be impressed with the Exynos 5 dual core. Samsung revealed the spec sheet for their latest dual core 1.7GHz processor. It has support for a huge 2560 x 1600 resolution and this would work nicely with the 11.8 inch P10 tablet that is rumored to be coming from Samsung in the future, as well as other big screen devices (Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or S4?) . It also supports video at 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution and graphics in 3D.

The Exynos 5 is as close to PC territory as it can possibly get thanks to wireless display support, SATA 3 and USB3.0 support. Amazingly the amount of power it uses has been knocked down by 30% which is another bonus.

At the moment there is no indication of which products may be lucky enough to be powered by the new processor, but one thing is for sure, they will take some beating when they are announced. Now we know that Apple utilizes Samsung processors in their devices but don’t expect the iPhone 5 to come with it (it just isn’t ready).
