According to the IB Times, the Samsung Galaxy S3 which comes with an already great eight megapixel camera on the back that is equipped with auto focus and flash, just got a lot better. Users can now record video using this camera in 1080p with 30 frames per second thanks to a mod. Custom ROM developer hyper X has released a mod which would increases 1080p full HD recording to 30 in super fine mode and it offers 192 kbit audio.

New mod improves on Samsung Galaxy S3 camera

Along with this users would also be able to access a 24 Mbit dine mode and 19 Mbit normal 1080 pixel mode as well as a 19 Mbit superfine, 720 p mode, 15 bit fine and 10 Mbit normal. All these are said to make full use of the 192 audio recording and hyper X is said to be also adding in 60 frames per second for all of the resolutions listed previously. This new modification would mean that users could essentially take pictures while they are in the middle of a call along with using the up and down volume buttons to take a picture when they are recording a video. Bear in mind though that the camera on the Galaxy S3 will not function at all if the battery level is below a 15% charge.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with intuitive features such as Smart Stay, Direct Call and Smart Alert. It runs Android 4.0 and has the Exynos 4212 processor which has been clocked at 1.4Ghz. The camera also has image stabilization and can take HD video and record images at the same time.
