There is a leaked code going around that allows owners of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the S3 to unlock their devices.

To start with you should put a new SIM card into the device and then turn it back on. Open the dial pad up and then type in *#197328640# and follow the steps below.

[1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF.

When you have waited for around 30 seconds you can then head back into the main menu and you should find Network Lock. Select [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ. If all has gone to plan you will now be left holding a handset that is unlocked. The code is also said to work with other Samsung handsets along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
