Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 Unlocked Via Code That Leaked

By  |

The Samsung Galaxy S3 along with the S4 has both been great handsets and many people still have them. A locked device cannot be moved to a carrier of your choice, unless you unlock it first. Luckily thanks to a leaked code that has been going around you can now unlock your device.

The steps below will help you to break your Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 free of its carrier.

First you should put a brand new SIM card from your choice of carrier into the handset and then restart it.

You should then go to the dial pad and put in *#197328640#.

You can then follow the steps below to unlock your device.

[1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF.

You should now just wait for about 30 seconds and you can head back to the menu and you should see network lock on the display. Choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ and tada…..your handset should now be unlocked.

Those who own other Samsung handsets including the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and 3 have said that this code works with their handsets too.

I’m using an SIII from Verizon om Net10 by just using a Net10 SIM. What would using this code do differently?
