Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean Update: Yours Now, Unofficially

By  |

If you own the Samsung Galaxy S2 then you will be pleased to hear that the official update may not be too far away as the update has been leaked for owners of international devices.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update prematurely leaked

XDA developers have released the Jelly Bean update for the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 I-9100 and it seems to come free of bugs. This could suggest that this may well be the final version of Jelly Bean. Samsung said that they would release the update by November and if it does come out then they would be sticking to their word for once.

Jelly Bean 4.1 will offer those who own the Samsung Galaxy S2 many new features and this would include a new TouchWiz interface.

Samsung have not rolled out the official update of Jelly Bean 4.1 for the Samsung Galaxy S2 yet so if you want to get your hands on the ROM you will have to know a little about flashing a device. If you don’t, then fear not as Jelly Bean 4.1 cannot be too far away and you will then be able to update either OTA or through Kies soon enough.

When the official version comes out the international Samsung Galaxy S2 will be the first handset to the update and it is hoped that carriers in the US will follow suit and launch the update right after.
