Official Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean Update Available Now Unofficially

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be pleased to know that the official update for their device can’t be too far away as today the Jelly Bean update has leaked for the first time for the international handsets.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update now available unofficially

The leak comes to us through XDA-Developers and it is Android 4.1.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S2. The build version is I-9100 and it seems that this may be free of bugs and it could be the final version for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Samsung did say that the update would be coming our way in November and thanks to the leak it seems that they are keeping true to their word.

Jelly Bean 4.1 brings users of the Samsung Galaxy S2 the new TouchWiz Nature UX and a host of new features and it is what owners of the year old device have been waiting patiently for, for some time.

At the moment this version is still not rolling out through Samsung officially so you do have to know what you are doing when it comes to flashing a ROM. If you are unsure then you might want to wait for the Samsung to release it to your device OTA or via KIES.

If the update does come out in November, the international version of the handset will be the first to be updated and then carriers in the US will start to get it. Of course if you are with AT&T and Verizon, you can expect the update to be weeks or maybe months behind the international version.

It seems that Christmas has come early for owners of the Galaxy S2, at least internationally anyway.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
