Samsung Galaxy S2 Android Jelly Bean Dreams Dashed As First Signs Of Impending ICS Update Surface (AT&T)

If you live in the US and you have the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S2, you may have been wondering if the next update would be to Jelly Bean. However it seems not as AT&T is to start rolling out yet another update to ICS for their Samsung Galaxy S2, suggesting that this is what they’ve been working on all this while.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update hopes dashed by new ICS update announcement

AT&T have said that an update is coming to the Samsung Galaxy S2 for Ice Cream Sandwich and users can download it OTA or through KIES.

The latest update for the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 will move the handset to ICS 4.0.4, as at the moment it is running on 4.0.3. Their website however doesn’t show the update build or version of the update.

This update is offered by AT&T around six months after their last update, which was made available for the Samsung Galaxy S2 in June.

However the update will tackle the issues that owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 on AT&T have seen, but is isn’t anywhere close to Jelly Bean. So it looks like Samsung Galaxy S2 owners who are with AT&T will have to make do with ICS for now, thanks to the carrier not revealing a roll out time for Jelly Bean or signs that they have even been working on one.

In Canada it is thought that owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 will get the update to Jelly Bean at some time in January.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
