Anyone considering a new handset in 2013 has some of the best choices ever especially for flagship devices from Samsung and Apple. So let’s look at three handsets coming our way in the form of the Apple iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

None of the devices have been confirmed at the moment and due to this we can only go on speculation and rumours. However these typically prove to be accurate. The first device that may be coming out is the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung will want to build upon the success of its predecessor.

It has been said that the handsets would have a 4.99 inch display that is full HD and it will have the eight core Exynos Octa 5 processor. This means that it will have two sets each of four cores which could help to reduce the amount of power usage while one set of the quad cores is used for tasks that are not demanding and the other will come in if more demanding tasks are required.

There have been rumours of wireless charging along with a better way for Samsung to send out updates; however this would mean that users could only get updates in the country in which they had bought the handset.

Samsung are holding an event for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S4, just as they did with the Samsung Galaxy S3. Rumours suggest that they will hold the Unpacked event on 22nd March and announce the handset, while it will be on the shelves a month later.

The Apple iPhone 5 or whatever name it might have, may remain the same size, but it could have the IGZO display of Sharp and it may have 128GB of internal storage. There has been leaks of photos which have been said to be the camera components of the device and rumour has it that the camera will be the Sony 13 megapixel.

It has been said that the Apple iPhone 5 will be released in July at the WWDC. There has not been a lot said about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, however it has been said that the handset will have a screen of 6.3 inches and there has also been reports that the device will come with the Exynos Octa 5 processor. An image of this has been seen already.

Fans of smartphones can be assured that whatever comes our way from the smart phone makers, it will be good and packed with new hardware, which will make choosing even more difficult.
