Samsung Galaxy Note 3: The Fight For Android 7.1.1 Nougat

By  |

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are putting up a fight to get Android 7.1.1 Nougat on their device. The device is three years old, but there are many people who haven’t given up on the phablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 isn’t supported by Google any longer and so it has to remain with Android 5.0 Lollipop, missing out on both Marshmallow and Nougat. Owners would like to update of course as the newer ROMs bring with it many new features. All is not lost though as there are custom ROMs thanks to developers.

Custom ROMs mean that you can enjoy the latest Android operating system, just not officially. There are ROMs available with the name of Phronesis Marshmallow and Android 7.1.1 Resurrection Remix. This works on the N9005 version.

Of course there is the risk of bricking your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 when you upload a custom ROM and you are going to lose warranty. But will you take the risk to get Android Nougat onto your device?
