Samsung Galaxy Note 3 & S4 Freed With Leaked Code

By  |

With the released of the new leaked code, owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 will be able to unlock their phones on their own.

Of course, the easiest way to unlock your smartphone is to approach your carrier and get them to unlock it for you but they will only do it if you are leaving the country of if your contract has ended.

To unlock your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or S4 with the code, you will first need to get a new SIM and insert it into your device. Next, restart the device and open up the dial pad. Key in the code, *#197328640#.

Next, select [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF. Wait for 30 seconds and press back to enter the main menu. Now select [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.

It is believed that the code also works for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Iwas told at the Verizon store that the Galaxy S4 was sold unlocked and there was no need for them to unlock it prior to travel in South America.

    Who’s right here?

This is only true when it comes to Verizon galaxy series and iPhones. Samsung phones and iPhones are factory unlocked when purchased through Verizon. All other carriers sell their phones ‘carrier locked’ and need to be unlocked for use on other carriers.
