Did The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Just Get Owned?

By  |

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is without a doubt the phablet to beat. We’ve already seen some tries by the likes of the LG Intuition and HTC DROID DNA. However the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 still remains a strong seller. Now we have an entry by Huawei which looks to have the right stuff. Read on.

Huawei Ascend Mate to take on Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Huawei are set to show that bigger is better with their 6.1 inch 1080p phone at CES. Known as the Ascend Mate, the CEO of Huawei couldn’t wait to talk about the device and he showed it off at the Huawei Store on Saturday.

The handset is said to have a quad core processor of 1.8GHz and a battery of 4000mAh. At the moment this is all we know about the device, other than it is thought that it is running Android 4.0.

Given from what we know so far, it seems to trump the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in every way – a more powerful processor, larger and higher resolution display and a bigger battery. All that remains is how much RAM it has and the camera in particular. Knowing Huawei, it will likely be competitively priced as well which is not something we can say about the rather expensive Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
