One of the coolest new features in the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is multiwindows which lets you run two apps simultaneously in split-screen. While the Samsung Galaxy S3 is now rumored to no longer be getting it, the Note 2 won’t be keeping it exclusively either.

Now the folks over at AndroidCommunity report that Samsung could be bringing another update to owners of the original Galaxy Note. The phablet is one year old but Samsung isn’t going to stop updating the device and when it receives Android 4.1.2, it will have some awesome new features.

The update will bring the multi-window feature to the Note, along with TouchWiz interface that owners of the Galaxy Note 2 enjoy. The multi-window feature is one of the main attractions of the Note 2 and it will be useful for owners if the update does come to light.

Samsung have not yet officially announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note will get the update to Android 4.1.2, however SamMobile are usually right about these things. For the time being though this has to be treated as just a rumour.
