Samsung Galaxy Nexus tablet coming (report)

The tablet will have a screen of 1560 x 1600 with 299ppi which beats the 246ppi of the retina display iPad with a screen of 2048 x 1536. Richard Shim, analyst with NPD DisplaySearch, said that the tablet would be a high end device alongside the Nexus 7 at $199.

The co-branding with Samsung would show a broadening of relationships for Google, who already co-brands with their Galaxy Nexus Samsung phone.

Shim went on to say that the information about the 10.1 inch Nexus came from supply chain indications, which typically means that there is a high chance that the device will come about. Google are to begin the production of a tablet that will come with a price tag of $99 in December. At the moment Google has failed to comment on the report of a new Nexus tablet.

Coincidentally there are reports that there will be a Nexus phablet coming as well to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It will reportedly be designed by HTC and come with a 1080p display measuring in at 5-inches.
