Android has been hogging the spotlight this year, what with the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2, and the show isn’t over yet it would seem. Samsung has got some encores lined up in the shapes of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and the rumored Nexus 2. The Nexus 2 will have a bunch of new upgrades, including an 8MP camera suggests sources.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 specs (rumors)

AllAboutSamsung leaked the news of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-i9260 – or the Nexus 2 – alongside a photo. The front camera will be a 1.9MP job, which lines it up nicely with the Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. It’ll retain the same 4.65” HD Super AMOLED screen but that’s where the similarities between it and its predecessor stop. There’ll be a dual-core 1.5GHz chip. Apparently, it’ll also have 16GB of storage, with SD support.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 will have Jelly Bean, as all the other Nexus gadgets have it. DroidLife saw a listing at Carphone Warehouse that bore the Nexus 2 name, so it’ll most likely be known as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2.

This same listing also revealed that a 32GB Google Nexus 7 tablet is in the pipeline. The model is rumored to take the price point of the 16GB version and the smallest model drops down to a low $99.
