Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 & 32GB Nexus 7 Make A Cameo In Retailer’s Database

The Nexus 7 tablet is a superb tablet, but it does fall short when it comes to internal storage. However today we have seen a leaked photo that shows a 32GB version, alongside the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2. The screenshot came from Carphone Warehouse, who is causing quite a stir at the moment.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 & 32GB Google Nexus 7 pops up at CW

AndroidCommunity reports that the posted screenshot is said to be from the inventory of Carphone Warehouse and shows the Galaxy Nexus 2 screen protector.

The shot also shows the Nexus 7 tablet listed in 32GB. At the moment there is the choice of the 8GB or 16GB. However both the Kindle Fire HD and the Nook HD come in 32GB, so it could be that Google plans to also offer a 32GB variant. There have also been rumours going around of a Nexus 7 tablet for $99, so perhaps Google are going to drop the price of their 8GB to $99 or maybe $149, in contention with the Kindle Fire HD which you can get for $199. They could then offer the 32GB model.

The leaked photo was taken from Carphone Warehouse in the UK and at the moment it’s all we know. However bear in mind that placeholders are always being put on inventory systems, so this could amount to nothing for the time being. On the other hand they were right about the Samsung Galaxy S3, before Samsung even announced it, which makes today’s leak very interesting for sure. So maybe Carphone Warehouse does know something that we don’t.
