Renault Looking To Take On Ford Fiesta Active

By  |

It looks like the Ford Fiesta Active will have another vehicle to face soon as it was revealed that Renault is working on a small supermini-based crossover model that will be based on their next-gen Renault Clio.

The crossover will be coming to sit below models like the Renault Captur which probably means that the vehicle will be targeting the younger generation. While it will be based on the new Clio, the styling will be less aggressive but it will be getting a few additional features like a roof rack and plastic cladding for the wheel arches.

On the inside, it will be getting a large portrait-style infotainment display, Level 2 autonomy and also a digital instrument cluster. Under the hood should be the 1.0-liter engine. We might also see a 1.3-liter turbo petrol or a mild-hybrid option.

No word on when we will be seeing this but seeing where the prototypes are at right now, we might have to wait until 2019 to see the vehicle.
