If you owned a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel mode that is about 5 years old or less, you might want to take note of the latest recall and the issue it has.
Ram has issued a recall to bring back 108,000 units of the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel model after it was reported that there was a coolant leak issue with the vehicle. It was also added that the issue might have caused fires and four minor injuries. Other than the US, the same recall will also be happening in Canada and also some markets outside of NA.
The recall will affect models from 2014 to 2019 as it was reported that Ram discovered cracks in the Exhaust Gas Recirculation coolers which could let the coolant escape and increase the risk of a fire. Those affected by the recall will be contacted by Ram but before that happens, customers are advised to monitor their coolant levels and contact their dealer if they feel that it is low.
