PS3: Skyrim Dawnguard & Hearthfire Only Weeks Off Dragonborn Release (Prediction)

Bethesda has thankfully commited to releasing the first Skyrim DLC to the PS3 early this year. It is the Dragonborn DLC which actually comes in as the third DLC for the game for Xbox 360 players but first for the PS3.

Skyrim PS3 DLC: Dawnguard & Hearthfire release date just weeks apart?

That is not all that Bethesda and its “Twitter horn” Pete Hines has to say. From Hines we also know that Bethesda is “working” on the Dawnguard and Hearthfire DLC. It is good news that they aren’t resting on their loins nor dismissed it.

So now that we can expect the Skyrim Dragonborn DLC to greet PS3 usersin early 2013, which we can assume means no later than April or May, then when would we possibly see Dawnguard or Hearthfire on the Sony console? Our predictions are that it will just be weeks apart.

Previously there were rumors that the RAM was the reason why Bethesda couldn’t give PS3 Skyrim fans any DLCs. That has obviously been resolved. Secondly they have confirmed that they are already working on the Dawnguard and Hearthfire DLCs and that Dragonborn is coming first because it is the “easiest” of the trio to send our way. Which means that whatever issues that were present should have been eradicated and all that is happening now is the porting of the expansions to the PS3. Dragonborn must have been ongoing given that they just released it to the Xbox 360 last month.

Whether Dawguard or Hearthfire will come first remains to be seen but we doubt there will be any more lengthy waits, especially since talks of a Skyrim 6 are already up in the air.

We’re not sure what we would do without Dwayne, especially on those days when we have a great scoop and our servers can’t handle the influx of traffic.
