Porsche Mission E Has A New Name Now

By  |

A few years ago, Porsche showed us their Mission E concept at the Frankfurt Auto Show and since then, the vehicle is known by that name but now that we are getting closer to the production model, Porsche is ready to give the electric sports car and actual production name.

According to Porsche, the Porsche Mission E will be called the Porsche Taycan when it arrives. Taycan translates to “lively young horse” which is exactly what the Taycan will be when it arrives.

Being the newest member, the Taycan will be all about speed and performance. Porsche also added that the vehicle would be able to cover long distances. Based on what we know so far, the new Porsche Taycan would be able to go from 0-60mph in less than 3.5 seconds thanks to its 600hp engine. It will also have a range of 300 miles.

To prepare for the arrival of the Porsche Taycan, Porsche has set aside a dedicated assembly for the EV model at the Stuttgart-Zuddenhausen headquarters.
