Playstation 5: Not The Time To Get Excited Yet

By  |

When it was revealed that the PlayStation 4 has entered the end of its lifecycle, most people automatically assume that this means we will be seeing the new PlayStation 5 soon but according to Sony, the new console won’t be coming anytime soon.

According to John Kodera, the fifth generation Playstation might take up to three years or more to be developed. He said that they will use the next three years to plot and plan their next step.

If that is the case, we won’t be hearing much about the upcoming PlayStation 5 anytime soon which means we won’t be learning anything more about it at E3 this year as well.

Earlier this week, Sony suggested that the end of PS4 would affect the profits of the company but they plan to offset that with online subscription services. The current Playstation 4 was released back in 2013 and has sold more than 79million units since.
