Owners of LG G2 Get Sweet Tooth With Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

By  |

Owners of the LG G2 had to look on while owners of the LG G3 and LG G4 gloated that they were going to be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, perhaps they shouldn’t have as it is looking as though owners of the older handset are going to be given the update too.

While LG hasn’t announced the update yet and they haven’t said how far back they are going, it is thought that the LG G2 is to get the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

We have seen the LG G2 Verizon version running in benchmark tests and it had Android 6.0 Marshmallow installed. The tests came out well and so even if we don’t see an official version we should see a custom ROM coming to the device.

The LG G2 running on single core in the Android 6.0 Marshmallow test came out about the same and on the multi-core it was 2728. So it really doesn’t matter if the handset is going to get updated officially as there is going to be a custom version of the ROM.
