Onimusha, one of the popular games for the PS2 console is now coming to the newer consoles as the developer announced the remaster version of the game.

First released back in 2001, the game follows Samanosuke Akechi, a samurai, and ninja Kaede as they try to rescue Princess Yuki. Players will wield weapons like katanas to take down the demon and uncover the plot.

The remastered version will come with graphics upgrades along with widescreen support for those looking to play the game in widescreen. One other changes are the addition of Easy Mode from the beginning itself. In the original game, players will have to fail a battle a few times before the easy mode can be unlocked.

The game will also be getting a new soundtrack since it was discovered that the composer for the original game was using a ghostwriter. Onimusha: Warlords HD will be released on the 15th of January 2019 and will retail for $20.
