There has been some good news for owners of the OnePlus 3 and ZTE Axon as their devices have managed to get through the back door to Android 7.1 Nougat.

The update to Android 7.1 Nougat comes by way of LineageOS and six handsets have been added onto the list to get the custom ROM. The build number is 14.1 and LineageOS has continued with the build numbers from where CyanogenMod left off.

Among the handsets that have been treated to the backdoor update to Android 7.1 Nougat are the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3. Other devices to be given the chance of updating to Android 7.1 Nougat include the ZTE Axon, LG G3, HTC One M7 on Verizon, HTC One M7 GSM, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7.

At the moment the LineageOS Rom has enjoyed more than 442,000 active downloads. The downloads for the OnePlus One have been ahead with 35,000 downloads and of course this shouldn’t come as a big surprise as it did arrive with CyanogenMod installed.
