Nissan Leaf Not Afraid Of Volkswagen

Volkswagen is finally ready to tell us more about the Volkswagen e-Golf. The vehicle will come in to compete with models like the Nissan Leaf but based on what the e-Golf will be offering, it looks like Nissan can relax for now.

We know that the Nissan Leaf will be coming in with a 40kWh battery that will be offering about 147hp and 236lb ft of torque. The engine would allow the vehicle to offer about 150miles of range.

The Volkswagen e-Golf, on the other hand, will come with a 35.8kWh battery which means the vehicle will only offer about 134hp and 214lb ft of torque. The vehicle also has a range of 124miles only.

To top it all off, the Nissan Leaf is also cheaper than the Volkswagen e-Golf. The Nissan Leaf will retail for $30,875 while Volkswagen has just announced that the e-Golf will retail for $31,315.
