Nintendo Switch Online: Losing Saves After Expiry Date?

By  |

One of the benefits you get for getting the Switch Online is the cloud storage so that players can get back their save data if their Switch gets stolen or damage. Some players were concern that if they stop paying for the service, the data in their cloud storage will disappear but Nintendo has now stepped out to explain more.

According to Nintendo, they will delete your cloud saves when they don’t receive a subscription payment for Switch Online but it won’t happen immediately. Players will have a grace period of six months so that they can retrieve the save data once the subscription ends.

Of course, you can’t access it unless you pay for the services but it will be there for six months. After the six months, it will be gone.

One of the reasons why you might want Switch Online is so that you will gain access to the NES games.
