With the Supra now out, the fans have been wondering if Toyota will start working on the next-gen Toyota 86 model.
Well, according to Best Car, the next-gen Toyota 86 and its twin the Subaru BRZ will be appearing in concept form at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show and will officially be arriving in the first half of 2021.
The report also claims that the vehicle will be riding on a new platform since the current TNGA platform from Toyota and the Global Platform from Subaru will not be suitable for the upcoming models.
Powering these models will most liekly still be the four-cylinder boxer engine but maybe we will see a 2.4 liter FA24 instead of a 2.0 liter FA20. The engine is said to be mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic which we are sure the fans will be happy about.
Both Toyota and Subaru have not reveal much about the vehicles at this point but hopefully we will get to learn more about it at the Tokyo Motor Show which will be happening next month.
