Apple could launch a new iPod Touch when they reveal their new iPhone 5 in just a few hours from now reports ProductReview. However the blog adds that it is thought that it will have the same ratio as the iPhone 5 with a display of 4 inches but it will not share the Apple A6 chip which the new iPhone 5 is thought to have.

iPhone 5 powerful processor upgrades may not be made available to new iPod touch

Rumors are that the new iPhone 5 will have a quad core processor and this is thought to be the A6 chip. There has been a lot of speculation about the handset along with a possible Mini iPad with a screen of 7 to 8 inches. These could be revealed at tonight’s event or have an event of their own.

No one gave much thought to the possibility of a new iPod Touch or the fact that it might very well look similar in appearance to the new iPhone 5. There have been suggestions that the device will have the A5X chip and this would be an improvement over the A4 chip inside the 4th generation iPod Touch.

One has to wonder if Apple will be making any more changes to the iPod Touch, what do you think about Siri being included in it for instance? Will it have the Retina display? What would you like to see introduced?
