[OFFICIAL] Motorola DROID RAZR M Jelly Bean Update Rolls Out

By  |

It was just last week that we reported Verizon was testing out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Motorola DROID RAZR M with a soak test invite. Well it looks like the soak test went smoothly.

Official Motorola DROID RAZR M Jelly Bean update gets green light

The folks over at Droid-Life report that the Motorola DROID RAZR M Jelly Bean update has been approved and has a green light for rolling out. According to the source, this has already started and it will naturally happen in phases so you may see it today or sometime during the next two weeks.

In addition to the awesome Jelly Bean features, Motorola has also updated the camera app to make it faster, there is improved data connectivity and GPS locks faster. There are also some updates to the Verizon bloatware that is found in the DROID RAZR M.

What is surprising here is that the Motorola DROID RAZR M, the oldest and cheapest of the new RAZR trio, is the first to get the Jelly Bean honors. You would think that the Jelly Bean red carpet would have been rolled out to the star Motorola DROID RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD phones first. Nevertheless enjoy the RAZR M Jelly Bean update, all 254MB of it!
