Moto 6 Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Tastes Good

Motorola differ from other phone makers as they are totally open about their source code. Their devices usually run as close to stock Android as possible and they usually reveal the source code for the kernel after they launch a new update. They have now begun to roll out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto 6 and Moto G, which came out in 2014.

Motorola has started to roll out Moto 6 Android 6.0 Marshmallow over in India and it has now started to roll out around globe and should be available for all regions and variants, plus they have now made the source code available.

For most users the source code for the kernel isn’t going to be of any interest. However it is a different story for developers or anyone who likes to flash different kernels to their device. By getting access to the code people can flash kernels that aren’t meant for the Moto 6 or Moto G.

While Android 6.0 may not have been made available to all owners of the Moto G at the moment, this has been one of their most popular devices and no doubt Motorola will want to ensure that the update runs smooth the first time around.
