Microsoft Won’t Jump On Battle Royale Train

Battle Royale games seem to be the way to go now as even long-standing franchise like Call of Duty has adopted Battle Royale in their upcoming game but it looks like Microsoft has no plans to jump on that hype train anytime soon.

According to Phil Spencer, the Xbox boss, none of Microsoft’s studios are working on their own Battle Royale game. While he did say that he can see why these games are so popular now, he added that he does not want to build one more just because but if they do have an interesting idea then it might happen.

Of course, while this means that we won’t be seeing any Battle Royale type standalone game from Microsoft, we might still see some of their existing games get a battle royale mode. Fans were hoping that Halo 6 would get one but we will have to wait and see.

With E3 coming soon, some people are already starting to predict what type of games we will see this year and we won’t be surprised if we do see more Battle Royale game coming our way.
