Microsoft Surface With Smaller Price Tag Spotted

We are still waiting for Microsoft to update us on what the plans they have for their Surface devices this year and while Microsoft is still keeping their lips shut, their new filings with the FCC might tell us more about their plans.

According to WinFuture, Microsoft recently filed paperwork for the Surface device with FCC. Although the filling does not reveal much about the device itself, it was pointed out that the Surface would come in with a smaller battery.

Another leaked roadmap further confirms Microsoft’s plan for a cheaper Surface option that will come in to compete with tablets like the Apple iPad. So far, the Surface is regarded as a more exclusive and premium device but the cheaper Surface could change that.

It was also added that the cheaper Surface could be arriving in August and that it could be coming in with a $400 price tag. Hopefully, Microsoft will reveal some additional information soon.
