Microsoft Lumia 950 XL: An Impressive Failure

By  |

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has been said to be an impressive failure. Windows fans may love the device, while fans of Android and iOS don’t rate the handset at all.

First impressions of the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL are typically positive ones even though the device is made from plastic while most phone makers have moved to metal. The handset does have a solid feel and edges are gently rounded. There is no denying that for looks it really isn’t a bad device at all.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL does have a replaceable battery and it comes with support for MicroSD card. This means storage can be boosted from the 32GB on offer with the handset.

The device offers a display of 5.7 inches and this means it’s the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Nexus6P. The display is AMOLED with resolution of 1440 x 2560 and 518ppi. The display is sharp and there is good colour accuracy and contrast.

The battery of the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is 3,340mAh and this means that you should get through a day easily. It runs on the Snapdragon 810 processor along with the Adreno 430 GPU, so it isn’t lagging. It comes with a 20MP camera with OIS and the ½.4 inch sensor and f/1.9 aperture.

But what do you think about the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, is it an impressive failure or just impressive?
