By  |

The Microsoft Lumia 950 is a great device and it is in competition with the iPhone 6S and Samsung Galaxy S6, but which of the devices wins?

Microsoft don’t have a great track record for beating Samsung and Apple but the Microsoft Lumia 950 may just have what it needs to change that.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 comes with a display of 5.2 inches and it offers up a resolution of 2560 x 1440. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a display with the same resolution but the display is smaller at 5.1 inches. The iPhone 6S comes with the smaller of the displays at 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1334 x 750. The latter comes with 3D Touch technology but still the winner here is the Microsoft Lumia 950.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 has the biggest battery and the iPhone 6S comes with the 1715mAh battery, which surprisingly is lower than the one that came before it. This once again means that the Lumia is the winner.

For connection the Microsoft Lumia 95 comes with the USB Type C connector while the iPhone 6S offers the Lightning connector and there is microUSB on the Samsung Galaxy S6.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 has 32GB of storage and you can also boost it thanks to SD card. The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with 32GB too but you cannot boost it via SD card. The iPhone 6S has 16GB but it doesn’t have support for SD card either. The 950 wins again for storage.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 offers the camera with the most megapixels and it also comes with OIS to take better photos in low light. The Samsung Galaxy S6 offers the 16MP camera and the iPhone 6S the 12MP camera. All handsets offer a front camera of 5MP.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 can be bought for $100 less than what you can get the Apple iPhone S6 for. You will pay $579.99 for the Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB version. Again the Lumia 950 comes out ahead for the price tag.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 has come out ahead in many categories here but the iPhone 6S and Samsung Galaxy S6 are both great devices. So which would you choose?
