Microsoft Lumia 950 or Apple iPhone 6s: Answer Will Surprise You

By  |

Most people would never consider the Microsoft Lumia 950 as a worthy opponent against the mighty Apple iPhone 6S but the fact is what the Lumia 950 might have more to offer than what we initially believe.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 will come in with a 5.2 inch Quad HD AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a pixel count of 564ppi. The device will run on the Snapdragon 808 chipset and will be fitted with a 20MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

The Apple iPhone 6S, on the other hand, will come with a 4.6inch Retina display screen. The device will run on the Apple A9 chipset and will be fitted with a 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

One of the biggest difference between the two is the OS, the Lumia 950 runs on the Windows 10 os while the Apple iPhone 6S runs on the iOS 9. The Windows OS were not that impressive in the past but the Windows 10 is proving to be a solid OS.

If you had to pick between the two which one will you go for?

I went with the 950. Apps are still the problem with Windows phones, but it doesn’t bother me. Some of the apps that I use actually work better and faster on my 950 than my iPhone (5s – company phone), the only one I miss is Snapchat.

Camera is no comparison, the Lumia 950 is just a better camera in every way.

    Screen clarity/resolution, again no comparison.

At least the iPhones now have NFC, but it’s like it doesn’t use the same standards as Androids and Windows phones use with their NFC. There are lots of little features like that iPhone either doesn’t have or doesn’t do as well.

Frankly, my 950 is by far a better phone, hardware and OS wise. APPS, APPS, APPS – that’s all that’s holding back the platform, apparently Microsoft has plan that with Universal apps and porting iOS apps. We’ll see how that works.
