Microsoft Lumia 950 May Not Have The Likeable Factor

By  |

Microsoft hasn’t had an easy time trying to persuade people to make the move away from the Apple and Samsung handsets to go with the Microsoft Lumia 950. But what do you think, does it have what it needs to be able to make people turn their backs on some of the most popular devices?

The display is 5.2 inches on the Microsoft Lumia 950 and this offers up a resolution of 1440 x 2560. The handset comes with 32GB of storage and it offers up the Snapdragon 808 processor. It comes with support for SD card and the handset also offers 3GB of RAM.

There are many things that in favour of the Microsoft Lumia 950 but at the same time there are some downsides to it. The biggest downside may be that the handset runs on Windows 10. This means that it doesn’t have all the apps that the iOS and Android devices offer.

But would you choose the iOS or Android device or would you go for the Microsoft Lumia 950?

Very happy with my Lumia 950. It works great and does everything very well. Integrates well with other Windows devices.

Why would I go with a Lumia 950? For productivity. The apps I need (Office 365, Waze, Mimecast, One Drive, Mail, Fandango…) I have with the Lumia. I love the ease of organizing and naming grouped apps.

I may not be able to measure a room or play every game, but as an I.T. Director for a law firm, I need to be able to access servers and provide support. The Lumia lets me do that better than any android or OS device can.

Windows-compatible vs. Windows… it’s a clear choice. I’ve been using a Lumia for a couple of years, you couldn’t pry it out of my cold dead hands any more than you could pry my Surface.

I think Apple and Android are a lot of fun. They have their place in the entertainment niche of the market but when it comes to getting work done, I’ll stick with what I know works best.

P.S. I have an old iPhone I use to play with my BB8 app-enabled droid. That’s about all I use it for.

I wish they used the design of the Lumia 930. I would trade my 930 in for a Lumia 950 only because of the removable battery and memory card slot of the 950. Right now my Lumia 930 is running mobile build 14322 & its running smooth.
