Mercedes EQC Range More Than Suggested?

By  |

Mercedes took the covers off their first all-electric SUV model this week. When Mercedes announced the vehicle in the US they added that the Mercedes EQC model will be able to offer about 200miles of range on a full charge which is nice but what the Europe market has is even better?

It was reported that in Europe, the Mercedes EQC will be able to offer about 279miles of range according to NEDC procedure. We do know that both EPA and NEDC has a different testing method so the numbers might come out different but Mercedes did later come out to say that the 200 miles estimation for the US Market is actually incorrect.

They also advise people to use the NEDC figures as the standard numbers now. Mercedes did get a lot of heat as the range was far from what their competitors are offering right now.

The new Mercedes EQC will be going on sale next year to take on models like the Tesla Model X whose base model is already offering about 237miles of range.
