Mercedes-Benz GLE Plug-In Hybrid: How Far Can It Go?

By  |

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE550e plug-in hybrid only had 10 miles of electric range to offer which is not really that impressive but that will change with the arrival of the next Mercedes-Benz GLE plug-in hybrid model.

According to WLTP, the next GLE plug-in hybrid model will be offering about 62miles which is a huge jump from the previous model. There were talks that the plug-in hybrid could come with a four-cylinder gasoline engine or a diesel engine.

Of course, we will still have to wait for the EPA numbers to come out to see where the Mercedes-Benz GLE model is at as the WLTP and EPA numbers are usually not the same so it might not offer so much when EPA releases their result but no matter what, it is still more than what the previous model had to offer so that is good.

Mercedes also had some confusion over the range of their EQC SUV model which was initially said to be offering about 200 miles of range but was later changed to 279miles.
