If you like the feel of the Pacifica Hybrid you are going to love the Maserati Levante PHEV. This is the first SUV from Maserati and it is going to be offered as a plug-in hybrid.

The Maserati Levante PHEV earned the right to be the first plug-in hybrid belonging to the Trident brand name. Maserati have confirmed that they wish to launch the plug-in hybrid version in 2016. It was said that some parts would be taken from the Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid.

It was also said that other models from Maserati would also get a plug-in hybrid drivetrain by 2020 due to the fact of emissions being stricter. It is thought that the plug-in version of the Maserati Levante PHEV will be launched within years, possibly between 2018 and 2020.

It has been suggested that the Maserati Levante plug-in hybrid will offers up the V6 3 litre engine with 350 horses and 430 horses. When it arrives it will offer fuel efficiency that has been improved and the emissions are sure to follow. This is something that should happen with all Maserati vehicles that are launched after 2018.
