The new Nissan Leaf will now come with a larger battery which also means a longer range but Nissan has plans to release an even longer range Nissan Leaf model. As of now, there is not a whole lot of information from Nissan but this is what most people believe the longer range model will be offering.

According to the rumors, the longer range model could be called the Nissan Leaf E-Plus and it will be fitted with a 60kWh battery pack that will be offering about 255miles of range. There is even a new report on what the price would be like.

CarsDirect reported that the Nissan Leaf E-Plus will be about $5500 more expensive than the 40kWh version which means the base model could retail for $36,385 while the top of the range model will be looking at $42,595.

Besides a longer range, the E-Plus model is also expected to offer more in terms of power at about 200hp.
