LG Nexus 4 Now Ships With Android 4.2.2 In Selected Markets

We’ve been hearing about Android 4.2.2 for sometime now but it looks like the update has finally taken a major step.

LG Nexus 4 now shipping with Android 4.2.2 in Malaysia & Brazil?

The folks over at Droid-Life report that a bunch of websites in both Malaysia and Brazil are reporting that there are new LG Nexus 4 orders shipping with the yet-to-be released Android update preloaded.

Now this is quite odd as we were really expecting Google to make an announcement of the update before making such a bold move like shipping devices out of it. Unless of course it is a very minor update and it is just to fix some bugs.

Another surprising thing about this news is that the LG Nexus 4 is apparently shipping. We haven’t heard anything here in the US which is surprising given that the device went on sale here via the Google Play Store first. Malaysia for one doesn’t even have a Play Store.

Dwayne is a jack of all trades. Not only is he an executive editor and collaborates on many stories here at Autoomobile, but he also does artwork and handles the running of the website on a daily basis. We’re not sure what we would do without Dwayne, especially on those days when we have a great scoop and our servers can’t handle the influx of traffic.
