Fans of Android have being waiting to get their hands on LG Nexus 4 but now rumours are flying around that the successor to the handset is on the way and when it is released it could come with Key Lime Pie.

LG Nexus 5 rumors based on Optimus G Pro

According to IBTimes, the LG Nexus 5 may be based on the recently revealed LG Optimus G Pro.

The source said that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie may be seen around May and that it would have lots of improvements, one of which is to be multiple user profiles. The LG Nexus 5 may have better performance modes and this could allow the owner to choose between hardware performance or better battery life. It is also thought that Twitter would have better integration.

The LG Optimus G Pro is said to have a screen of 5 inches and it is 1080p. It has been rumoured to be coming with a quad core processor of 2GHz and the camera could have improvements, the device could also support LTE.

There is no proof that LG are to offer a new handset with the Nexus name, however it has been said that the Nexus program may work with more than one single phone maker at the same time this year.

LG did a great job with the LG Nexus 4 as the device has the best build, solid hardware and a superb design. However does miss out on LTE and it decent storage space, both of which the G Pro boast. Fingers crossed that the LG Nexus 5, if it comes about will have better availability in the Google Play Store.
