LG Nexus 4 & Samsung Nexus 10 Launch Canceled Due To Hurricane

It looks like we will have to wait for new about the LG Nexus 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 10 for a little longer. Google were supposed to have held their event in NY tomorrow, but they have had to cancel their plans due to Hurricane Sandy.

LG Nexus 4 & Samsung Galaxy Nexus 10 launch not happening on Monday anymore

The Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, declared a state of emergency on Friday due to the storm which is heading their way. The Google event was to have been held on the waterfront pier; however this has now become an evacuation zone.

Microsoft however are still holding their event in San Francisco for the launch of Windows Phone 8. We expect to see the Nokia Lumia 920 official US release date announced then and there too.

This will be the second event that Google have had to postpone in recent memory. Last year they had to change their event for the launch of Ice Cream Sandwich, due to the untimely death of Steve Jobs. Google plan on rescheduling the event and will let people know about their plans as soon as possible.

As for the LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus 10, the barrage of leaks don’t seem to be stopping, with the latest being an actual manual for the Nexus 4 on LG’s official website. Maybe Google doesn’t even need an event to unveil these and should just lift the embargo put on retailers, there doesn’t seem to be anything left to hide anyways.
