LG Nexus 4 Production Ceased For Craziest Reason Yet [RUMOR]

By  |

One of the devices that is very hard to get hold of, and has been since its release, is the LG Nexus 4. The handset sold out straight away on the Google Play Store and has remained so. Google say that the blame for the shortages of the handset lies with LG.

Another very interesting rumour has come to fruition which could explain why LG has had a hard time keeping up with demands for the Nexus 4. Product-Reviews speculate that LG could be focusing on the LG Nexus 5 and hence that they have temporarily stopped LG Nexus 4 production. So why do they think this? Let’s see.

LG Nexus 4 production paused for LG Nexus 5 (rumor)

Speculation about this began when James Fisher, LG Electronics SVP gave a hint at the recent CES that the LG Nexus 4 was just one of the main products and that the company were at work on another mystery Android handset.

IBTimes then said that LG had “seized” production of the phone so that they could focus on developing the new one. Perhaps what they meant to say was that production had been “ceased”. Anyway Product-Reviews then speculated that the new mystery handset could very well be the LG Nexus 5 and this is why LG are not concentrating on getting more LG Nexus 4 handsets into the Google Play Store.

So what do you think? Are LG working on the LG Nexus 5 and is this the problem behind the LG Nexus 4 being hard to come by? Or do you think this is the craziest rumor yet?

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
